My partner and I have just returned, happy but physically drained and emotionally exhausted, from a long weekend at The Annexe.
As we are comparatively new to the scene, a weekend away was a big deal for both of us. We'd looked around a bit, listened to our friends, and finally followed our nose and our instincts down to The Annexe.
What an inspired choice.
For little more than the price of a normal B&B we had a cosy little retreat for the weekend, equipped with a king sized bed, a well found playroom, an Aladdin's cave of "things that make you go 'ooh' " and a kitchen-come-nest in which my partner and I could cuddle up, have a cup of tea and share in-between time in peace and quiet. And just 5 minutes walk from Weston sea front, if you are so inclined and can get away!
The hosts were helpful, friendly, on-hand but not intrusive, and put us at ease right from the first email contact. If we'd eaten all we were offered we'd have burst. If we'd played with everything we could we'd still be there in a week, and the hosts would have had a pretty shocking electricity bill.
Would we go there again? Absolutely....Would we recommend it? Yes unequivocally... Would we change anything? Yes - ice cubes in the freezer.....
